Appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine from August 7, 2020. In this position, he is responsible for the activities of the Payment Systems and Currency Circulation block, and his sphere of management includes issues of development, regulation of payment and settlement systems, and management of the money circulation system.Alexey Shaban has been working in the banking system of Ukraine for over 25 years. Since February 2020, he has worked as Director of the Department of Payment Systems and Innovative Development of the National Bank of Ukraine.Prior to joining the National Bank, Alexey Shaban worked for over 24 years at PrivatBank. Since 2018, he has been a member of the PrivatBank Management Board for retail business. Since then and before joining the National Bank, Alexey Shaban headed the retail business of PrivatBank and was actively involved in the implementation of new card and payment products, including through remote channels.

Under Elena’s leadership, ConcordBank became the first non-state bank in Ukraine to start accepting payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay. In 2020, Elena Sosedka founded the first open fintech ecosystem in Ukraine, Concord Fintech Solutions, on the basis of which market participants create their fintech projects.
